Only it´s not a game, it´s an "empty arcade" where you must buy packs. So promoting the Stadium that would have a huge new option of games would be amend marketing button than another Stadium.

the optimist in me is saying this bodes better for licensed games than being locked backside DLC packs but we will see.

Ultimately Capcom has the metrics and information for this sort of matter (presumably), they must take determined that releasing "new" games gets more attending than updating an older 1 with DLC (and I fully believe that both 2nd Stadium and the Fighting Collection came as a result of the first Arcade Stadium). A few companies have tried the arcade platform thought in the past (including Capcom themselves) so this must be the more lucrative pick.

Would too assist if they decide to do physical releases in the futurity, though I don't know if there'southward any intention for that.

Aye i´m sure information technology ´s carefully chosen my marketing to bump it to the New Releases lists everywhere etc. but it still sucks :D This is one example where updating the erstwhile Stadium to a Super Stadium version would exist great.

Oh, if they are smart they would brand Stadium 2 backwards compatible with Stadium 1 gamepacks.

Wonder three. Well, a third of it. The game is three games (hence the proper name). A run and gun platformer, a shoot em upward, and a puzzle game (which is the one pictured)

The Run n Gun platformer in particular is quite interesting. It feels like a weird in-between of Ghosts northward Goblins and the Magical Quest games.

Only things I'd disagree with are the Street Fighter games, I think some will be swapped out:
CE volition almost certainly stay, I hold.
Hyper, unlikely
Super? Its a terrible game, waste of a slot.
NG? Literally the worst of the iii Three picks, so I hope non
Alpha? Would adopt Nix Two Alpha
Street Fighter 1 I come across being included.

Oh, and major props for mentioning Slipstream, that's an obscure Capcom game fifty-fifty when information technology comes to obscure Capcom games. Id dear that to be included.

i accept but bought the starting time Mega Man collection-- did they not put the fighting games on any of them? Or have they not washed that since the PS2/GCN/Xbox 1?
It got a standalone PS2 release in Japan (which I love), and a NGPC port of both arcade games (which is and then cute). But otherwise I cant recall console/handheld ports of information technology. Other than that awful standalone arcade stick thingy. They were not included in any recent MM collection (heck, MM&B is yet MIA).
Then come to remember of it, including both in one of these collections would exist an fantabulous motion.

I so forgot nearly the PS2 release-- ane of my friends had it.

I had the NGPC one. Pretty peachy-- similar all the other NGPC fighting games. Wish we would have seen an original or remixed Mega Man game on the NGPC.

I by and large hold with that list besides. I don't recollect Hyper SFII will make the cut merely CE and SSFII probably will. I also think they should leave off the original SFA. This is a good opportunity for SFA 2 Gilded. Wouldn't surprise me if they include a Darkstalkers game also.

Wishful thinking simply I'1000 belongings out hope for AvP. Information technology was on that arcade stick and Disney has been licensing other old IP that they own. Information technology's likewise a one off that doesn't really fit anywhere else to package with other titles.

After this, I hope nosotros go a Marvel Collection with all the fighters and the Punisher.

I mostly hold with that listing equally well. I don't remember Hyper SFII will make the cut simply CE and SSFII probably will. I as well think they should leave off the original SFA. This is a good opportunity for SFA two Gold. Wouldn't surprise me if they include a Darkstalkers game too.

Wishful thinking just I'm holding out hope for AvP. Information technology was on that arcade stick and Disney has been licensing other erstwhile IP that they own. Information technology's too a one off that doesn't actually fit anywhere else to package with other titles.

Agree with all points.

I actually would love to run across some of these Disney games re-released. At that place's enough of them. A Marvel drove (plus concrete release) would be a dream come up true for me, and with Capcom doing a really good chore as of late porting a decent chunk of its drove... its gonna have to start dipping into this licensed stuff eventually. Or actually starting time creating emulators/ports of its late 90s releases which mainly remain untouched since the late 90s console ports.

Dainty to run into the Black Tiger love. Amazing game.

Interestingly, Gematsu mentions a potential leaked release date:

An MS shop backend manifestly mentions that it could be coming around June 22nd. Interesting if true, as they'd basically be launching it alongside the fighting drove. I have doubts that'd be true, only if it is Id imagine we wouldnt become games from that collection crossing over into Stadium, equally one would cannibalise sales of the other. Again, IF true, makes me promise we tin get every bit many fresh games non ported this gen as possible - and the more than games not ported at all before would exist even meliorate yet.

Once again, IF true, makes me hope we can get as many fresh games not ported this gen equally possible - and the more than games not ported at all earlier would be even better still.

My hope is that Stadium 1 and two, along with the Fighting Drove, would basically exist a "comprehensive" drove of Capcom's non-licensed arcade output (and specifically betwixt those three titles, meaning older stuff like the SF Anniversary and Chugalug Collection would be ignored and titles hither would repeat). Granted, that's already not 100% accurate since Cyberbots is already repeating for some reason, only it'd be nice if it ended upwards otherwise accurate.

At that place are other issues as well, mostly around Street Fighter. I'k not sure everyone wants all three Alphas and all three SF3s (I'd similar them for preservation, but yeah, most people probably only desire the terminal ones). Plus, if they tried to be comprehensive so we'd have some other iii or and so versions of SF2 in second Stadium as well. Granted, it would exist very Capcom to have a bunch of SF2s beyond three arcade drove titles when they already had an SF-only collection in the same generation. :/

That link says July, not June?
Anyways, it would exist great if both collections released at the aforementioned fourth dimension. I remember that the first Arcade Stadium released effectually the same time as the new Ghouls and Ghosts game.

I'one thousand really wishing Capcom would put the effort into converting some more than of their early 3D or late 2D titles over to this, I think this collection would be able to plough a lot of heads if they could simply say Rival Schools or Star Gladiator was part of this, or even stuff that missed the SF collection similar Zip iii Upper with the panel exclusive characters.
  • Street Fighter: The Motion-picture show (1994) Incredible Technologies board
  • Slam Masters II: Band of Devastation (1994)

I would impale for either of these, Slam Masters II is heavily underlooked even by the standards of Capcom's more obscure fighters only is extremely fun mechanically for a game from that era, and Street Fighter the Motion-picture show Arcade would only exist an insane get to finally make an effort to seriously acknowledge its existence, though I'm certain that 1 has also much red record to deal with to truly consider it.

Anyways, it would be great if both collections released at the aforementioned time. I remember that the first Arcade Stadium released around the same time every bit the new Ghouls and Ghosts game.
In that location's a skillful chance I misread July for June lol. That makes way more than sense and could well be legit in that case. And yeah, I forget which style round GnG and Arcade Stadium lanched, but I think 1 was Feb and one was early March... or in a very shut proximity to each other. Capcom does like to practise that - I mean last year nosotros got GnG, Arcade Stadium, MH Rise, MH Stories 2, RE8 and Nifty Ace Chaser in the months betwixt February and July (amazing few months for me!) and so it can happen!
My promise is that Stadium 1 and 2, along with the Fighting Drove, would basically be a "comprehensive" collection of Capcom's not-licensed arcade output (and specifically betwixt those three titles, pregnant older stuff similar the SF Anniversary and Belt Collection would be ignored and titles here would echo). Granted, that's already not 100% accurate since Cyberbots is already repeating for some reason, merely it'd exist prissy if it ended up otherwise authentic.

I exercise quite similar the thought of having the majority of Capcom's non licensed stuff filling out these collections. They did a pretty proficient chore back in the day with the PS2/PSP with the iii arcade collections (two volumes plus the puzzle collection on PSP). If they can come up with an even more than comprehensive version of that between the PS4/Switch/Xbox collections they've done... I'll never play anything else!
Though honestly at this point I think they need to commencement looking to the console output that's not been ported in so long - Final Fight 2, 3, the remainder of the GnG games - especially the Gargoyles Quest/Demons Crest, Breath of Fire and then on...

Then of grade, if they could piece of work some magic and get those licensed games (or at to the lowest degree some of them - Id exist happy but for the Disney console and arcade stuff) that'd be amazing. A Curiosity Collection that's as extensive equally the upcoming Turtles collection would be a dream come up true for me.

I would honey Terminal Fight 2 and 3 to become the Natsume/Tengo Project treatment. Enhanced and tweaked like Wild Guns, Ninja Warriors, and Pocky & Rocky.

Throw in the Sega CD version of Concluding Fight with the same TLC and I would pay dozens of dollars.

At which point do we showtime asking for stupid stuff like Final Fight Revenge and Streetwise? I ain and have completed both, and while I can recollect of some proficient points for Revenge (its hilarious in a - this is then damn stupid - way, Streetwise is just terrible...)
Would be funny to see the series get a full collection though simply for the heck of it...
If y'all really wanted to push the gunkhole out - you lot'd have the different ports of Final Fight 1 included (or at least the console ports, the computer ports are a different story) - Snes with its missing Guy, FF Guy for its missing Cody, FF Mega CD for the actual expert port (and amazing music), GBA FF for more on screen enemies, more than unlockables, garbage music (but it really is a pretty overnice port)... but again if yous went for computer ports you could leverage the X68000 port, Amiga port, Spectrum, Amstrad, Commodore etc.

But so over again... I ain all these ports already! (Id totally buy them all over again if they were in one convenient collection)

I actually think the best option for the console stuff is the NSO, though that really just works for the Nintendo consoles (perchance Sega CD, if we're lucky). But yep, I'd love to see things like the SNES ports of King of Dragons and Knights of the Circular only for fun, but Capcom's probably not gonna release those over the arcade ports any fourth dimension before long.

But yeah, I'd dear to see things like the SNES ports of King of Dragons and Knights of the Circular just for fun, but Capcom'southward probably not gonna release those over the arcade ports any fourth dimension soon.

Im not a fan of this idea for the following reasons:
Stuck to ane panel (Switch) - as you pointed out above
Woeful options for the games, peculiarly for screen settings.
Potential for emulation issues (though Im aware theyve been correcting said bug on N64 games recently, and its not like other collections couldnt experience the same issues)
ONLINE ONLY SUB - cannot stress this one enough, I want physical collections, or at least something I can play any time without having to constantly pay for a sub...
Drip feed of new releases. I have shelves worth of Capcom releases just for the Famicom, FDS, Super Famicom, NES and Super Nintendo. To have all these released it would accept Nintendo years.
Following on from the above, though its also a potential outcome for any drove Capcom releases, just they'd almost certainly skip lesser known games... ignoring licensing for a 2d, would we e'er see a Bonkers port? Probably not, I wonder who hither remembers the Bonkers SFC game. What near the Famicom only games? The likes of Ide no Yosuke no Jissen Mahjong II and Pro Yakyuu? Satsujin Jiken! would certainly be skipped over. Again though, this tin also be an issue with collections, but I notwithstanding feel we'd get a better multifariousness compared to Nintendo's online service.

Capcom's been on a curlicue these final few years with their collections. While some annoy me (Mega Man'due south missing several big games that should have been on the first ii legacy collections), we've also got localisations of the Swell Ace Chaser games, ports of previous CPS2 games never before done, before long to be a Warzard port (FINALLY!!!) and some cracking QoL changes on stuff like the MM Zero drove. There'south withal then much they could exercise (aka many ways to milk coin out of me) so I hope they have no plans to stop anytime soon.
